The role of Learner Coach is to provide end to end pastoral care to all learners, ensuring the attainment of positive outcomes by providing advice, guidance and support. Dependent on the individuals needs the learner coach will have the responsibility to engage the learner setting and achieving realistic targets.
The role will involve you;
Working with youth learners (16-18 year olds) engaging, motivating and supporting them to build their employability skills and successfully complete their learning programme.
Responsible for completing interviews with young people interested in entering our clients traineeship programme
Accountable for conducting group inductions with young people starting at our centre
Accountable for providing a learner led individual service through the planning, monitoring and reviewing of each learners progress
Working as part of a team, effectively liaising with colleagues to provide individualised learner support
Your duties will include
- Pre sign up activities including: preparing and conducting interviews: chasing non-attenders: updating and completing all paperwork liaising with Careers Wales: checking eligibility and arranging start dates.
- Complete relevant paperwork for any additional learning needs, for example childcare, 1-2-1, counselling provision and notify the relevant departments
- Sign up and inducting including: meeting and greeting all learners: completing relevant documentation:
- Placement for learners including: identifying placements within agreed time scales, preparing learners for interviews, obtaining learner and employer feedback following interviews, carrying out Health & Safety checks, completion of workplace induction checklists, on return from placement, interview learner and update learner experience documentation
This role is subject to a DBS check. The cost of the DBS check will be met by the company
